While the series stayed true to the game, it took several detours with the story and the characters. The game was later adapted into a 26 episode anime titled Tales of Zestiria the X. He recruits two squires named Rose and Alisha and four elemental Seraphim beings Mikleo (water), Lailah (fire), Edna (earth), Dezel, and later Zaveid (both wind) to purge the world of evil malevolence and defeat the Lord of Calamity before it plunges the world in darkness.
